What exhaust? Help & advice needed

As the thread title says, Im looking to upgrade my fully stock exhaust on my 99 T 2000 classic Impreza. I'm looking for something that will provide a louder and deaper burble without sounding like a fart can once you put your foot down.

Not sure if I should go for the full system (want to keep the cat) or just a new centre and back box set up.

Also looking to keep the volume legal and not piss off the neighbours too many times (often the first car to leave the parking area). Was hoping not to replicate the entance to channel tunnel with the tail pipe as well.

I have been going through all the Youtube videos, but sound quality isnt the best on most of them.

Any advice / help would be much appreciated - price range £200ish may change depending upon results.

Thanks.

I wouldn't go for a Blitz Nur-Spec they are very loud from what I have gathered. I'm in the pipeline for a new exhaust if mine fails MOT. Maybe a ninja 2 or a Afterburner Vortex possibly.

Have you looked at TSL ? They fit your specs. Good sound and not so loud that people will be waving their fists at you!

Ninja and Afterburner will be quite loud.

What about "Racebox" from Scoobyworld? That's also quiet.

Well...quiet is relative....louder than standard...but not annoying :-)

Setright - Not looked at TSL yet, will check that out. Ive been listening to the youtube vids for the Vortex afterburner and the Blitz Nur-spec. They sound quite similar and are very good. Only one problem though - most of the vids are for WRXs or STis - that being so they will produce a deeper growl than if the exhaust was on my smaller 2.0l turbo.

Will also take a look at the scoobyworld Racebox.
