before remap?

Prodrive sports cat
prodrive backbox
green panel filter
walbro fuel pump
With the above fitted would it be ready for a remap ?
The car in question is an 04 WRX
What increase could i hope for?

JonMc 10 April 2010 09:07 PM

Walbro is not necessary at this level, you will find your turbo and injectors are the limiting factor - you should see about 265bhp with 240lb/ft from a good map:thumb:

Dave Y 10 April 2010 09:36 PM

its my wallet thatsthe limiting factor.

JonMc 10 April 2010 09:39 PM

You can get around that, it's your imagination that's the limiting factor:D

Ray T 10 April 2010 09:51 PM

I'd say nearer to 280bhp + similar torque , with a tek 3,

richie001 10 April 2010 09:51 PM

Who are you going to get to do the remap?

chrisnorm17 10 April 2010 10:17 PM

just had mine remaped by duncan @ racedynamix. best thing i ever did. i have a 3" inch turbo back s/s. Do-luck filter. spark plugs and sti up pipe (thanks harvey) and i goes like nothing ive ever had. my wallet was streched but like duncan said after finishing the map whats next. my reply was nothing thats slowly changing.... good luck hope you enjoy it

In Total Impreza there is a company called "scoobyprojects" i was going to have a chat with them they are in Ledbury .

richie001 10 April 2010 10:47 PM

Never heard of them.

JonMc 10 April 2010 10:53 PM

You'd be as well going to Bob Rawle, and check out the group buy section for a good price at the moment:thumb:

If i fit the prodrive sports cat will i need to add any other bits to the exhaust system? It already has a Prodrive backbox.

JonMc 11 April 2010 09:33 AM

It is not essential, but it would be worth looking for a 3rd decat pipe to remove the final cat (something like this one - https://www.scoobynet.com/private-fo...ecat-pipe.html, but this is now sold) if your car still has this cat. Also you can remove the centre box and get a resonated or straight through centre pipe. It is not worth going to a 3" bore with the rest of your system being 2.5", but these will be the biggest restrictions in your exhaust if funds allow you to make the changes. Check out Cobra exhausts for a good price on stainless steel replacements - they are in one of the trader areas:thumb:
