clutch slip advice

my clutch is being changed next week,

just wanna check a few things first, does this sound normal for a slipping clutch.......

1st gear still pulls ok (judders a bit sometimes) when i change into 2nd and put your foot down you can feel the slipping same in all other gears, however if i drop down a gear and accelerate i seem to get some pull with less slip.

initially started slipping only it in 5th under acceleration but has ended up being on the other gears over the past week or so.

drives ok if you take it easy.

i suppose what i am asking is....is there anything else that could be causing these symptoms?

There are other possible causes. Leaking rear crank oil seal is one. However what you're describing sounds just like a worn clutch, and whether it is or not, you've got to proceed on that basis anyway as any other explanations will become clear when the old one is stripped out.

Sounds like clutch to me, going up the gears is going to be harder on the clutch.:) Having a new clutch is great, feels like a new car again !:luxhello:

Yeah more likely to slip in the higher gears due to more load.

strange, i would have thought that there would be more strain on the clutch when trying to pull the car in first gear
