Chasing an old car of mine, Please help.
Hello, can anyone tell me how I could go about finding out where an old car of my lives now :lol1: I sold her about a year ago and I would love to buy her back if the person who has her now, ever wanted to sell her. I sold her to a guy a few miles away who then sold her on again so I dont know where it is now.
Some people have said they have seen her around town but I never had and I was wondering if I could find out where she is. I dont want to get into hassle doing this or I dont want to do anything bad, I would just like to know where she is. Thanks claire |

Only if you have 'valid' reason ie you have been involved in a incident with the vehicle and the driver has refused to give you the details. (data protection act)

By law, DVLA must protect your personal details held on the registers. DVLA can however, under Government regulations, disclose information from the vehicle register to those who can demonstrate ‘reasonable cause'.
I don't think, 'i want to buy 'this' car back qualifiys as 'reasonable cause' for a government agency to release personal information. Do you? |
