2pot conversion
 

i am looking into doing a 2pot conversion in the next couple off weeks on my 1993 wrx, the rear 2pots come off a 2001 bugeye, is it possible to do and would i have to change discs etc?all advice would be helpful. cheers in advance steve

hi m8. just done the same on my 98 turbo wagon, you will need new vented discs 290mm and adapters for the calipers available from godspeed brakes or CDF. simple change over and much better braking! :)

its worth changing the pipes aswell to get the most.

Waste of cash, invest in upgrading your front brakes with the money you would have spent on the conversion, you will find it more beneficial ;)

agree with you tony, i assumed the fronts where already done. Uprading the fronts should always be a priority over the rears.

yes fronts done already got rear rears for £90 so fought worth fitting and look good lol, and may do the odd track day.

If they are cheap enough then go for it, i just picked up a near new compbrake rear 4 pot 330mm kit.
The sale of my rear brembos was just shy of the price, Brembo kit gets pricey to fit to a classic but what you have can be done cheap enough. Not sure you will notice the difference but as you say it will look better so as long as your happy go for it.

Front upgrade is always good as the others have said.

Yes it will make a difference fitting the rear 2 pot calipers , its why they fitted them to the Type R as that model was aimed to go rallying , I rally one of these and it brakes a lot better than the one pot rear set up , by fitting the rear kit , your car wont nose dive as much and will brake much flatter
I'd say go for it.
