VF series turbos?

Hi all,

Thinking of getting a VF turbo for my MY00 classic. There are so many different ones, does anyone know what my best option is on spool up and about 300/320 brake.

I have done a search on this but can't find any specific thread.

Was thinking VF28 as on the P1, obviously with supporting mods and a remap.

Thanks.

Options are vf23, 24 and 28 which will make 300-320bhp happily, cheaper is the vf35 which is good for 340-350bhp (but you dont have to tune it that high) or a TD04 hybrid but your probably not going to get more than 300-310bhp out of one of those :(

Tony:)

Cheers Tony :) What are the differences?

VF28 will spool up the quickest but will run out of puff at approx 320bhp.
VF34 is the next quickest spooling up and is good for upto 350 bhp

Those two are the best out of the non twin scroll vf turbo's

As Tony has said the Hybrid TD04 will spool up quicker than any VF turbo but wont go much past 300 bhp.

What you really need to consider is, are you going to want any more than the 320 bhp once you actually have it??
Power is VERY addictive!!

I have a vf 30 for sale for 300 quid which is a great spooling turbo which made roughly 340 b ut never had it dynoed. Its in perfect working order with all fittings and only done 30,000 miles

I,ve had a Vf 35 fitted to my UK classic for the last 2 years. Quicker spool up and generally cheaper than a Vf 34 but slightly less peak power.;)
