If its a uk car then its manual only, only JDM's have auto spray and you have to press the button in for that to activate it ;)

So why hasn't anyone posted the obvious answer: Drain the water out of the tank. ;)

The best way to do it ScatRat is just to unplug it. If your car has the tank mounted in the side of the boot you can get to it fairly easily by taking off the trim. One connector for the pump and another for the low level warning switch and you're done.

Although it it was mine I'd at least drain the tank to stop the water causing a bad smell in the boot in a few months time. Given that it's only a few bolts, even better would be to take the tank out completely.

Incidentally, do you know that the car's been mapped properly for the front mount?

Its been mapped properly yes,

Can't be UK and auto spray unless someone has been clever.
Are there two buttons (Auto and spray) to press on lower dash panel to right of driver - will be with foglight button.

Its a bit intriguing what model you've got (2 or 2.5 litre?) - anyway - its all sorted by the sound of it.
