I am about to take delivery of a new WRX, which is a full UK spec import from Holland. Every broker I have spoken to will not quote because its an import. My current broker will not swap my insurance from my current MY97 Turbo either even though theres only 2 months to run on the policy. One broker has even said that a import from Holland is no different to a Jap import. Does any one know a broker who will give me cover on this car?

You do not have to tell the insurance that the car was purchased in Holland as all European cars are considered as Parallel Imports not a grey imports

The difference is that the grey import is a different car than the UK spec in some shape or form.
As far as anyone is concerned the car is exactly the same car as supplied in the UK, the only difference is the amount of warranty (1 year Subaru warranty as opposed to 1 year Subaru warranty and 2 years Subaru UK warranty)
The insurance does not ask where the car comes from only that it is a UK spec.
Therefore you should only give the information you are asked for.
