glue removal from tinted windows
Can anyone please suggest an easier way of removing the glue left behind from the removal of front window tints.
I have spent the best part of 2 hrs scraping the glue of with a stanley blade then spraying wd40 onto the window repeating this process several times.thanks in advance leehttp://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...es/ponder2.gif |
Nail varnish remover, works a treat. Did my 2 fronts in about 20 minutes. Need to keep the cloth quite wet, don't go too easy on the application.
good luck, dnc |
as above or white spirit will also work, but nail varnish remover probly smells better:lol1:

Chewing gum remover is good too.

you could use Autoglym glue and tar remover. Works fine and readily available. As its petroleum based you will need to use a glass cleaner afterwards.

i took my front tints off a while ago now. to get the residue glue off, i used a little bit of v-power (yes, petrol), on a cloth and the glue came straight off. :thumb:
