glue removal from tinted windows

Can anyone please suggest an easier way of removing the glue left behind from the removal of front window tints.
I have spent the best part of 2 hrs scraping the glue of with a stanley blade then spraying wd40 onto the window repeating this process several times.thanks in advance leehttp://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...es/ponder2.gif

Nail varnish remover, works a treat. Did my 2 fronts in about 20 minutes. Need to keep the cloth quite wet, don't go too easy on the application.

good luck,

Chewing gum remover is good too.

you could use Autoglym glue and tar remover. Works fine and readily available. As its petroleum based you will need to use a glass cleaner afterwards.

Cheap meths is better. It's not oily like white spirits and it's less hard work!

i took my front tints off a while ago now. to get the residue glue off, i used a little bit of v-power (yes, petrol), on a cloth and the glue came straight off. :thumb:
