EVO x the last

Not sure if this is SIAL or not, couldn;t find any other mention

While they maybe the enemy, its such a shame but ralliart are closing down, so no more evo's after the ten, unless they totaly do them in house now, which i doubt will be the same.

A real shame.

The drive I had in an FQ360 was one of the most memorable I've ever had.

You'd have thought they'd have got someone to proof-read the English before putting that gibberish out as a press-release!

Not much of a market for these types of cars anymore.

Image has been hit hard with these cars. Both Evo and Impreza sales have fallen. Subaru STI sales would have still suffered with or without the Hatchback.

Running cost are high, and mpg is stupid.

Plus, I think most people don't want cheap quality dash boards anymore. The Evo was too pricey for what it was. £37k for a FQ360?

The choice for most people is, new Evo @£37k, or a second hand Audi RS4 or BMW M3.

The RS4 & M3 are just as thirsty, and expensive to run, but are such a better package, both quality and image wise.

Just look at Subaru. They think a £45k Cosworth STI is the answer. It ain't.

It won't be long before Subaru pulls the STI for the UK market.

I'm wondering how long Subaru will last as a player in Europe. Too late into the diesel market, the latest Impreza is utterly minging and drinks too much even non turbo'd and the Legacy is just average. There's no innovation or flair.

The Evo is an incredible car - the other side of the argument for them is that they spank RS4s and M3s on any twisty road and accelerate as quickly as decent supercars so could be considered a bargain.

But they do look low rent inside and are still too chavvy. Look how many ex Scooby drivers there are on here with a BMW or Audi now - very telling.

Another big name from the glory days of the WRC dies, seems a long time since the days of Tommi Makkinen in the Evo :(
