STI330S Owners - show yourselves!

We'll folks.

How many on here own a 330S

I've nearly bought, final deal not quite agreed with dealer yet, but its 95% done.

It will be dark grey

Is it a daily driver (mine will be)
Who's had problems.
Seats for example seem to be getting a bit of a bad name

Cheers,
Shaun

Get the deal done and start having some fun! :lol1::lol1:

We've had ours nearly a year, daily driver and no problems whatsoever.

Enjoy

Jude

Cheers.

Seats alright in yours?
How many miles on it?

The engines dont have a brilliant reputation for reliability, do they?

sc00b555 07 March 2010 01:46 PM

8500 miles, seats are fine, was a bit worried when I saw the pics of Scooby L's mind you

Perhaps not

But...............

We don't know how they been driven, what fuel has been used etc

I was reading on here one particular 330S that was driven by MD of dealer, was only ever run on normal unleaded

And from what I read or can understand that its mainly 08 cars with a few 09 exceptions

For me personally I could get a premium spec EU model and it would be approx 4K less than what its costing me to change to the 330S

However that does not and can't have a warranted PPP which I feel is important for all STI's performance
It wouldn't have locking nuts, tracker, alarm etc
So I assume those extra things including say the PPP would be 2.5K alone and doesn't have the exclusivity in my opinion of the 330S

No more owners?

urban 09 March 2010 09:27 AM

Only 1?

scooby L 09 March 2010 10:19 AM

I think you'll find that most who are willing to shell out the extra for the 330s, actually plump for the JDM and either mod it or just buy a T20.

urban 09 March 2010 10:42 AM

Possibly yes.
But I'm sure there are more owners on here and from what I can gather from talking to someone they're very nearly all sold.

Ignore the haters and those who say it is not a 'proper' STI...it's a great car, running 366bhp on mine with supporting handling mods (everything Whiteline do, AST coilovers etc.) and braking mods...since I got the problem sorted (engine reliability issues were due to poor factory ecu map) I have done 30K miles running 350bhp+ on the standard engine with no problems

Have to say I would not really bother with a 330S myself as an aftermarket exhaust system, air filter and bespoke re-map are cheaper and get better results. However, easier with the warranty if you go with Prodrive and I have driven a 330S and thought it was very good :)

Come and say hello to the other hatch owners on here over on here mate:

I'd guess the dealers are telling people they are very neraly sold out, how much truth is behind that I'm not sure.

urban 09 March 2010 10:54 AM

This wasn't a dealer, but funnily enough the dealer I'm using made comments that there's a limited supply of colours left.

It is true, it's dealer stock left only. The 330s was only a limited run.

I assume they are not continuing due to being about to launch the STi Cosworth.
