help with my knob

sorry about the title, the inner child couldn't resist.:lol1:

anyhow a simple question, am i correct in thinking that the gearknob on the UK MY03 STi just screws off??

I'm trying to replace my old tired looking prodrive alloy gearknob with the OEM part that i have just purchased but its stuck on quite well and before i start going at it hammer and tong just wanted confirmation that it is just a screw fit and there isn't a grub screw that I'm missing (i've had a look and didn't see any) or something daft like left hand thread.

Cheers

Chris

Excellent, thanks for the confirmation, that was exactly as i was trying, but it wasn't budging so didn't want to go at it too hard in case it wasn't that simple.

Will give it some welly tomorrow, just hope its not been locite'ed in place or something silly like that.
