All you need to know here about csrss.exe

:)

thanks for the speedy reply hanley, computerhope mentions anti virus, will my mcafee security detect/ take care of all problems, possibly suspect some sort of web watcher program, monitoring all my internet usage, logging websites and emails possibly even a key logger. this malware could have been installed physically aswell ie directly on to my machine,
is there anyway to check for these types of programs?

It's a legitimate process that should be there, having said that, as it says in the link, it can be exploited, you can only scan using your AV software to see if you have a trojan.

how could I tell if a webwatcher was physical installed on my computer, I have read that standard AV cannot detect them, thanks again

If they know what they're doing....and if you're using WEP then hacking into your network would take 10 minutes.

You sound awfully paranoid :)

have now managed to change wifi encryption to wpa2-psk and changed all passwords.

one more question: if someone has the wpa2-psk code/key can they still monitor my internet usage?

thanks again for the help:thumb:
