Web hosting recommendations?

The other half is starting a business and has a small website that she needs to host somewhere, can anyone recommend a decent company...looking for cheap but reliable service? Or tell me who not to go with??

Thanks

I have some sites on 1and1 servers. They have been fine but it really depends on what package you go for and in shared hosting how (un)lucky you are with other sites sharing the same server.

If your business is going to really rely on the website, make sure you don't pick a 'one-man-band' type of hosting. It also wouldn't hurt to research how easy it is to migrate to another hosting provider.

You could also use your free web space that comes with your broadband package? Obviously this depends on your needs.

I build my web site and got my reseller plans through this site http://www.tucktail.com/
It also has the best tools for building the website

I've been using godaddy.com for the best few years and can't complain!
