I wouldnt put toyos on my pushbike, sessantas all the way :thumb:

HTH :D

Moley 02 March 2010 11:47 PM

I have used both, and they Sessantas are much better IMO

sg72 02 March 2010 11:51 PM

Woops! Tell you later.

Having Goodyear GSD3s on my car. ATMO.

Judging by the Forums Ultrac Sessantas? Are the way to go,on a Scooby.

Toyo T1Rs. On my MR2 Turbo? Yes! But Subaru.

Stick them Vredes on.

Aparently. LOL!

I have both, prefer the Vreddy's on the NewAge.

rickya 03 March 2010 08:50 AM

Vredys

MaDaSS 03 March 2010 07:13 PM

Same here, I have had both and definitely prefer the Sessantas to any tyre, never mind the Toyo's. I just got rid of Asymmetrics a little early, they were very good but so far I would go Sessantas againas they are cheaper.

Tomwrx 03 March 2010 07:28 PM

well it looks like the vreddys r the way to go,just need to find some now lol

cheers for the input guys

Sessanta - Not available for standard Hawkeye wheels

Annoyingly the 215/45R17 is not available from anywhere, don't think they make that size.

carl heath 14 March 2010 02:14 PM

wont 225.45.17 work mate ? they are going on my wheels on wednesday and cant wait 235.40.18

simb 2 14 March 2010 02:39 PM

Have you considered the Falken FK452, just trying 2 on the rear at present and can't fault them. Had Toyo's before and you never quite new where you were with them!

Getting alot of feedback through the Falkens:thumb:, also massive saving over the toyo's!

Si

having some vreddys ultrac centros fitted on tuesday as they only do them in 215/45/17.

Yeh more Scoobynet searching also led me to that opinion. Now, need to see if I can get delivery before Tues PM as I have 2 punctures and need to get on the road ......

Got Vrede Ultrac Sessantas,225/45/17s from Camskill. £79.99 a corner.

Had them fitted last week and car now feels much better. The Goodyear Gsd3s I had got taken off still had about 5mm tread on them! But were just nothing like the feel of the Vredes.:thumb:

MaDaSS 14 March 2010 09:20 PM

I love em too. It's took me a while but with my recent car mods and these tyres my confidance has returned. To be honest, over 5 years ago I was recommended Vredestein by a Subaru salesman and I just laughed and said "Vredes who?!?" so goes to show ya!!!

carl heath 14 March 2010 11:37 PM

well i only heard of them about 6 months ago and also my local tyre man didnt know about them,i just hope they are as good as i have been told, there is something about having good new grippy tyres with an all wheel drive with half descent geometry setup,be nice to see how good it becomes in summer(if we get one lol)i bought my wheels second hand with poor pirreli p zero tyres on and had to use them for a year so hoping the new rubber is noticeably better.let you know wednesday.

have used toyo's before and thought they were good, they were good on track too. Currently running falkens but they feel much harder and dont offer much grip on the track, have just discovered a slow puncture so looks like i'll be ordering a set vreddys to try judging by the comments on here, they do look like a good tyre too!

MaDaSS 16 March 2010 09:34 PM

I'm a convert! I am sticking with the Vreddy's. I love em.

apac 16 March 2010 10:15 PM

i've had vreddy's on my spec C a month or so . did a very wet track day at castlecombe and have done enough road miles now to say they are excellent tyres. I would not swap the 4 of them for 12 toyo T1r's, although i may swap them for R888's,, thats if i knew it wasn't going to rain for a year. i um'd and arh'd over different tyres such as good year eagle/assymetric and a few others. But the vreddys are a great tyre

imprezajon 16 March 2010 10:50 PM

had my vreddys ultrac centro fitted today. first impressions are excellent. good grip, very quiet. just playing about with tyre pressures at the moment to see what suits. going 33psi all round as 32 didnt feel right. the test will be when it rains.
