Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if ypu can buy a can of WR blue paint in a spray can???

if so where?

thanks for the info guys, i have been on the halfords website & looks like they will mix a can for me for £9.99.....is it best to laqure the paint as well??

As above I wouldn't bother with Halfords sprays. They have their uses for emergency touch-up but don't produce an acceptable result on large surfaces. If you must use an aerosol, paints4u produce better quality stuff.

And yes, any metallic paint needs to be overlacquered.

i was advised by a paint supplier to spray the lacquer on before the coulor paint is fully dry, within 1-2 hours depending on temp. this way the lacquer 'bonds' to the base paint.

just to add - this advise was for base coat and 2 pack lacquer but i think the principle is the same.

dont forget plenty of light coats to stop runs and at least 4 coats of lacquer, you will cut back 2 coats of the lacquer with wet & dry before compounding up to a mirror finish

as said aerosol cans are ok for small jobs (say a wing mirror and the like) but i would'nt attempt a full door
