So where did it go?
I heard the late night weather forecast last night and it was dire. The semi-tropical Portuguese storm was charging up through France at 150 km/hour heading straight for UK. It would arrive between Kent and Hampshire on the South coast i.e. Sussex which is where I am. It would arrive in the early hours and we could expect up to 2" of rain before moving North.
There was a little bit of rain early on and then some drizzle but that was it. Now I'm not complaining but how could they get it so wrong - it was only in France FFS. Did anyone in the South get hit? dl |
just been on the radio news - went across france into belguim etc (50 dead in france - mostly drowned :( )

I live in the North East and the forecast I saw was brighter with the chance of a shower which is exactly what we got. |
I was a bit worried about my Radio Ham aerials since I am on the S Devon coast. Apparently it did not come far enough north to affect us, we were pretty lucky, strongest wind here was 25 mph from the North.
