Looks good :thumb:

Get it slammed though if you're going low offset with stretched tyres.

pjsprojects 27 February 2010 07:17 PM

Awesome! love the wheels.

belliott69 27 February 2010 07:19 PM

Biggs 27 February 2010 07:39 PM

Where did you get the wheels from in 5x100 ??

powerwrx 27 February 2010 07:43 PM

i really like these wheels, looks ace.... is there a wider tyre though? i dont think i could drive on them knowing the rim is really easy to catch on a curb or pot hole

wiley 27 February 2010 08:16 PM

thanks for the comments, the wheels were ordered from rarerims.co.uk from maggs off here. they do come now in 5x100 fitment.
as for curbing them, im gonna be ultra careful.
not sure about the tyres, but there probably is

I'm with you on that, I have enough back luck on my 8x18's with 235 tyres so I'd have no chance with these:eek:

If you didn't want the stretch look you could probably go for a 255/35:thumb:

Auto_Sparky_WRX 27 February 2010 08:23 PM

nice, wheel look the tits, i saw them spoiler fins on ebay yesterday i was wonderin what they would look like lol

beef-on-the-bone 27 February 2010 08:24 PM

looks sweeeeeet :)

-shane- 27 February 2010 08:35 PM

Dude is ur spoiler genuine sti? As I want a couple of fins but my spoiler ain't genuine love the wheels,

wiley 27 February 2010 08:46 PM

My spoiler is an original sti spoiler. I did have a replica on there before, the only difference is that the sti one has a few plates you can remove under the top half of the spoiler and side. Boobiman aka D.O.M has fitted the stiffis on his replica spoiler with no prblems

fpan 27 February 2010 08:47 PM

225 tyres are too stretched in 9.5" wheels.

Welcome to the aggressive fitment club.

I'm glad you got something different than what's already out there. Gold was my #2 choice over the Black there was an attraction to keep the OEM flow but on a wider scale. My personal opinion, I'm not to keen on the Gold wheels and carbon bonnet. With the carbon ducts as well i think a darker wheel would be more suited. That said i think it does look good and when it's lower you'll be set.

ScoobyDoo69 27 February 2010 09:48 PM

Would look great if you weren't running 225s, need a good 245s on there IMO.

The reason behind the stretched tyre is to tuck it up in the arch. If the driver has no intentions of dropping the car low enough a stretch can look out of place. Obviously it depends on the drivers requirements for the car.

Being a wide wheel even a stretched tyre will rub the arch so with a roll and a pull it will overcome this.

If running a 245 tyre then substantial arch work will need to be done, Arch liners more than likely removed and a decent bit of camber.

JonMc 27 February 2010 10:03 PM

And as Wiley already has ackowledged, he needs to drop it more:thumb:

Until it goes down it will probably not look quite right:?

Bockett 27 February 2010 10:05 PM

Indeed Jon and proof Wiley does things right you only need to look at the spec for the car

Always been a fan of WFC and have considered an aggressive fitment on mine.
Seeing them in the flesh today for the first time... might just do it!

No need mate lol

Yeh I have the Perrins fitted to my replica sti8 spoiler. Really depends on the mould of the replica, and how close a match it is to the real thing.
I have a scoobyworld one, very good quality and they fit snug.:thumb:
