Hope you don’t us popping in but we were just told about this thread and was suggested we might like to help.

cossie_eater, the alloy ones are slightly less compliant than the wire type as they were designed as a first step replacement for the stock rubber version over 10 years ago. The allow design has a more direct yet still compliant connection than the wire. It an evolutionary thing as demand for this sort of improvement spurs on other options. For example, we’ve also added an upgraded heavy duty ball-ball style link range now as well.

These are like the stock configuration with a nylon housed ball so they’re a zero compliance design yet heavier duty construction with larger components for heavier loads. Not being a spherical, should be silent too.

I thought i would take advantage of Jim being involved with this post. I was looking for the best replacement for my droplinks on a uk 99 impreza turbo with ppp as factory fitted. Apparently the droplinks are the same as the standard ones as the ppp didnt touch them.

Got a bit of a noise from them and just wondered people suggested.

clc1100, delighted to be involved. :lol1: Not sure what a "ppp" is but I know there are stacks of options for links for the GC series 94-00. If you can tell me a little more about the spec difference with above I'll try to fine tune but for the moment it might best to simply look at the catalogue application link for the GC.

Basically there are 3 common options (front for example),

- KLC20A spring wire and low compliance polyurethane - level 1 upgrade
- KLC30 extruded alloy anodised with redesigned low compliance polyurethane - level 2 upgrade
- KLC38 Low compliance spherical bearing design replacement - level 3 and motorsport upgrade

Rear has similar options except for the last one.

Well since Jim's here - I'm looking at the rear suspension at present and am after a set of Lateral links for my 2002 WRX. Do these still work with the Normal drop links (I have whiteline Alloys) and what other mods would you reccomend, I was thinking rear sub lock kit, Diff support fit and Uprating the trailing arm bushes.

BlueBugEye, thanks for your interest. In general, all our parts are designed to work with mating stock or replacement to stock parts so the items we catalogue for the 2002 WRX should all fit together including the Whiteline alloys.

So, looking at the website catalogue link for the 2002 WRX parts here we see KTA109 as a full set of 4x front and rear adjustable lateral links or KTA107 for just toe adjustment and only including the rear pair of arms but replacement 4x bushes for the front. As for other parts, the KSB750 sub-frame lock, KSB751 rear diff support and KCA377 toe-lock kits are amongst the most popular at the moment but I suggest it might be best to contact us off-list at support@whiteline.com.au for more specific advice for your setup.

Oh, and don't forget the rear swaybar mounts even if keeping stock bars. The new KBR21 series has just been released in extruded alloy, very new, strong ( and shiny :lol1: )

can you help me out here? im looking at getting some rear droplinks on my04 sti but dont know which ones to get as i seem to have unusual set up on mine can you tell me what ones of yours will fit? heres a photo of mine

(State now, My Opinion only) Spherical bearing rose joint KC38 are not brilliant chaps. they manage to seize up terribly they do come with a little yellow boot thing that fits over the ball still joints but that either stretches or disintegrates!

Honestly had 2 sets of these dry and seize up and replaced under warranty so switched to the KC30 and never looked back! Alloy is good quality and the bushes will outlast most cars that there on! Total fan of most Whiteline gear and have a lot of it, just the KC38's I am not a fan!

crf450r, sure, easy. The new Anti-roll link series will do that job nicely and part number KLC139 is what you need, read more here. These have been developed as an extra heavy duty replacement for the stock links and designed to handle big bars while still retaining a zero compliance design without the potential downsides of NVH.

_KENDO_, thanks for the feedback and we understand your point. The KLC30 is a good product but it is a compliant link as it uses a bushed design albeit low compliance polyurethane. However as per above there is another option but not quite ready for your application at the moment.

i recently fitted a set of KLC139 drop links on my 04 STi but didnt know which way round they should go ie: threaded end inward towards the diff or outward towards the wheel? reason being, on the drivers side the link was vertical but the passanger side sat at an angle. turned out it was an incorrect bend in the bar so Graeme from Whiteline u.k. sent me a replacement which fits alot better but i had swapped the links round to accomidate what i thought was the problem and now am wondering if i should swap the links back to the threaded end of the link facing inward?
