you will have to elongate the mating flange holes on a turbo back box to fit the sport centre pipe as they are slightly different,if you dont then you wont be able to use both the hangers,or you could elongate the holes on the centre pipe if you didnt want to ruin the back box,not much involved but it`s hard work unless you use a drill or dremmel.best bet is to buy a sport specific back box and save all the hassle.hope that helps.

thanks ghostface.
all i want is for it to sound like it should lol.as it has no noise, rummble ect to it.i have see some great exhausts but do i need the hole set or just changing the back box make it sound like a scooby should :-) cheers (sorry i am a pian in the ass) |
for the true rumble you need unequal length headers like borla or replica ones, easy to fit and will give you the sound you are looking for coupled with a decent back box.
for more sport specific info try the guys over at imprezasport.net |
As regards your headers/exhaust manifold, the best thing you can do is to get it ported. This will give you a performance benefit and deepen the rumble.
Any automotive machine shop with porting experience can do your headers or I can do it for you but you probably have someone close by that can undertake the work. Porting the headers and removing the cast lugs that locate the heat shields and then wrapping the headers in DEI wrap is £230. |
