Engine Cleaning Help

hi guys i want to jet-wash my engine but when i did it on my last scooby it had running issues after.

can anybody give me any pointers.

Not sure if he is still on Dorset Scoobys but a guy called spanners (Rob) is in Weymouth and he does have OCD about his wagon so may be worth pming him.
