2005 SUBARU IMPREZA RACE RALLY TRACK CAR HILL CLIMB on eBay (end time 07-Mar-10 23:23:27 GMT)

I had wanted to race this car myself in timeattack and MSA events but my plans have now changed.....

anyone fancy a pop at time attack in a competetive car for a bit of bargain price....full package available....

Trout 26 February 2010 12:03 AM

Interesting car - though not a Hawkeye as stated in the advert :)

It's a blobeye :)

BIG FUD 26 February 2010 06:15 PM

Im worried to buy it its that cheap ...standard sti 2005 is 10K+

allza 26 February 2010 06:22 PM

Yeah but it isn't an sti. Not overly cheap imo.

Terminator X 26 February 2010 07:37 PM

^^ :cuckoo: Look at the spec, it's better than a STi!

TX.

allza 26 February 2010 08:40 PM

No 6 speed, dccd, or avcs which for me make the sti. As well well as the other little extras. Still a good spec and not saying its not worth the money.

beef-on-the-bone 26 February 2010 08:52 PM

still a lot of car for the money really............

Trout 26 February 2010 08:59 PM

To me the biggest limitation is the lack of a 6 speed box - especially with that power and torque.

Otherwise it looks like a good base spec track car.

popeyedoyle 26 February 2010 10:03 PM

worth mentioning that the car is fitted with the later 5 speed box design (vn6aa - has the male driveshafts) its common(ish) knowledge that they are far stonger than the previous 5 speeds boxes. I understand this is down to additional webbing around the casings to stop them twisting under heavy load....please feel free to correct me if i'm not entirly correct here...
i'm reliably informed from my mapper that this box will should hold upto 450hp, but ultimately failure would be a function of torque rather than power.
