I NEED HELP PLEEEAAASSE
 

Hi all new member here have a 02 bugeye wrx but rad split on plastic top so bought one off reputable seller on ebay fitted today but now steam coming from everywhere under the bonnet but cant find source and stinks of antifreeze. really worried guys rad was identical to one taken off except had two brass pipes sticking out at right angles at bottom of rad but seem to serve no purpose as filled rad up and nothing came out of them ?????

any help would be really appreciated

oh and heater gets ridiculously hot

only thing i would do is mate is check to see if there is any split pipes and make sure all your hose clip are tightened up

Yep check for split hoses. The hoses can become brittle (unless silicone)and removing and refitting can then cause them to split. Also as said check your jubilee clips! If the crap type wire clips are fitted, might be worth upgrading them on main hoses.

have a good check of all pipes clips ect . there may be a reason why the rad split like the system pressurising up !!

any one know what the two brass pipes are
