Copying Desktop Items

I am currently copying stuff from my old PC to a new laptop and am mostly using an external drive to facilitate data transfer.

Is there a way of copying say a dozen desktop items all at once rather than having to do them individually which takes for ever?

And how do I copy "Favourites" please?

Hold down the Ctrl key and click each item, this allows you to select more than one.

You will find your favourites and desktop folder at, so you can copy the whole folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\username (where username is whatever you are called :) )

Hey that's terrific Avi - big thanks. I did try right and left clicks on mouse looking for a "Select All" option but didn't think of that because I am stoopid.......

Cheers, David
