My new toy!

As most of you already know, I got a new Scoob on Thursday :D:D

I kept it quiet just incase something went wrong and it didn't happen.

Had to think long and hard before I sold my Bugeye, the only car I have ever bought brand new and ment a lot to me. I know your not supposed to get emotionally attatched to a metal object, but thats easier said than done after 7 and 1/2 years of owning it, it will be sorely missed

As Stu mentioned on a previous thread, I done loads of research before I decided on the right car for me, been looking since October 2009, not as hardcore as Speccy's blob (which started my passion for a Spec C), but definately the right choice for me :thumb:

It's an 06 Hawkeye Spec C, one of only two black ones in the UK, I originally wanted a white one, but after seeing it in black, I totally fell in love with it! Was imported in 2007 with 5k kilometers on the clock by PCM (Immy), had one owner in the UK, then sold back to Immy, it now has 11600 on the clock, a few choice goodies from RCM and re-mapped (no mats in this one :lol1:) by Bob Rawle who mapped my Bug almost 70k miles ago so obviously I'm totally confident in his skills!

The bug as you all remember :luvlove::luvlove:.......

And the Speccy after a quick clean (need to take some proper piccies) :norty::norty::norty:..........

One VERY happy bunny.......

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...quick/pipe.jpg

My bug made 273bhp and 250 Ib ft torque on Surrey rolling road last year, but this thing scares the sh1t out of me

Only driven it in the snow and wet so far, every time I floor it, the back tries to over-take the front which is fun :D

Gearbox is taking time to get used too, didn't realise how different it would be. I can put it in 6th gear at 40mph and it feels totally happy, but drop it into 2nd at 40mph and all 4 wheels spin up instantly, and continue to do so in 3rd and 4th :norty:

First mod is to change the exhaust as it is silly loud due to being a true straight through pipe with no silencers. Gets on your t1t's after the novelty has worn off (about 5minutes). Then some mud flaps as I want to protect it as much as possible from stone chips, then some driver training and track days :D

Like to thank Speccy for putting up with me texting and calling to constantly ask questions, and also Shaun (ex-webby) for answering my PM's.

Hope you like it guys :thumb:

Kin 'scared sh1tless'

PS - found this on youtube of my car on the rollers, hope the poster does not mind me using the link

Cheers lads, I haven't a clue how I'm going to get used to it, definately going to take a while!!

Woke up at 12pm Friday afternoon, worked 12.5hr's Friday night, got home at 8.30am this morning, was too excited to sleep so over to the parents for a bufty session, started feeling tired so left at 7pm, floored it from the lights on the A13 roundabout and was more awake than I've ever been in my life as the back slid all the way round the roundabout

What a rush!!! Thought my heart was going to jump through the windscreen................so obviously went round and tried it again :D

Will be contacting CAT-D at Millbrook again this year so I can learn how to drive it properly and keep it 'shiny side up'
