Car pulling to the Left?

Hi all,

My car has pulled to the left slightly since i got it 12 months ago. I had the tracking done etc after changeing the rear bolts to camber bolts etc and it still did it slightly. Today I swapped front to rear wheels etc and now its a lot worse. Any ideas?

Sticking Brake caliper perhaps? Or if you are running on Bridgestone tyres you maybe getting tramlining from the tyres.

it only seems worse above say 30 mph. They are bridgestone but no matter what the road surface, pull hard to the left. Its worse now the backs are on the front that have a lot more tread?

might be tyre pressures slightly diffrent as i had that with my classic even with a full geo set up done

Any idea the best PSI for all four?

kevpott 19 February 2010 09:51 PM

i normally just put 32 psi all round tbh . i noticed my new bugeye was all over the road and pulled to the left . i checked mine and the passenger front was on 25 psi . set them all to 32 and seems fine now

will try it tomorrow. I tried on the motorway services but gauge was rubbish. Passanger one was 15 and drivers 23 ish so did them to what looked like 30 thinking I found it, it made it worse lol

How much tred is left on the tyres. I had the same prob with my REO70s when they got a bit low

the_big_1 19 February 2010 10:25 PM

Front ones have loads on now, i would say above 4mm

Have you had a full geo set up ? that might be the way to go. as said before tho make sure you have the correct tyre pressures and even wear on all four tyres.

Turbotits 19 February 2010 10:28 PM

Probably is the tyres doing it

wardy sti 19 February 2010 10:31 PM

Mine had about 3-3.5 when they were doing it but mine waz tram lineing all over the place pulled to the right when I put my foot down and to the left when I let off. I changed the tyres it waz fine.

I had a full geo set up, 3 times to ensure correct lol.
The fronts where bad wear on outer edges before geo setup so have just moved them to rear and rears that where ok, 4mm etc no edge wear, to the front.

That was the same for me, before geo set up I was getting heavy wear to the outer edges of the front tyres but now Iv had it done all is good.

I was hopeing moveing the fronts to the rears would stop it pulling after the geo setup but made it worse. Not sure if the tyres are just fubard but I dont want to replace them all if the old rears are ok or nacker new ones.
