Replacing Key Alarm Fob Combo With Separates

Hi, I've got a MY02 WRX STI, upon purchase I only received a single key/alarm combo (ie: a key with a large fob attached with the alarm arm/disarm button on it).

I was planning on getting a spare in case of loss. I was thinking of getting the following 2 items:

SUBARU SIGMA ALARM REMOTE KEY FOB, ALARM / LOCKING on eBay (end time 13-Mar-10 17:05:44 GMT)

SUBARU IMPREZA/FORESTER STi KEY BLANK : eBay Motors (item 280418577578 end time Mar-03-10 03:06:11 PST)

Would this work?

From what I've read about keys it seems that the key I have includes a chip that is used by the immobilizer. Would there be an equivalent chip in the sigma alarm fob that I have linked above or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

Thanks in advance,

Paul
