Have you re sprayed the whole car as well? looks like a different car from the first pic lol

Nice job matey

KickboxingCrazy 14 February 2010 05:03 PM

love it, what sort of power you running with that turbo

H4RDY-P1 14 February 2010 05:12 PM

The car was wr blue and is now/gonna be pure white 51E,the complete engine bay was stripped and painted.
Its a gt 35r matey did just over 500 bhp when mapped @ clinic, hoping to squeeze a few more next time its mapped.
Cheers bern.a serious amount of time and work has gone into this, its suprising just how much i have had to custom make and move bits around.

beef-on-the-bone 14 February 2010 05:14 PM

want to see the rest of the car now, or at least the numbers on the engine......... ;)

mattpat 14 February 2010 05:15 PM

H4RDY-P1 14 February 2010 05:29 PM

This is how the car used to look

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/P1010131.jpg

Most the hard work was done by scoobyclinic and prev owner michael hill (timeattack),
i basically just tweaked a few bits and was not happy with the bugeye look.

numbers lol

H4RDY-P1 14 February 2010 06:00 PM

Its all a lot beter than it was and im really hapy how short run the i/c pipes are now !!,you doing yours your self steve ?,be good to have a drag race this year.

dave_garrett 14 February 2010 06:06 PM

Looks very nice, hope to try this myself later this year so glad a few people are trying it first ;). Where did u get the hose and alu pipe from or did u just mod what was already with the intercooler?

Vr5RA_Matchew 14 February 2010 06:10 PM

Dave prob 50% off the i/c pipes was from the original perrin set up,just cut/altered,i had to buy varius bends in both alloy and silicone, and also used some 68mm o/d s/s tube, its very time consuming but imo worth the end result if for neat and tidy'nes if nothing else :lol1:,to look at the pipe run length i have saved is absolutely massive :thumb:,although most wont be as brave as to go through both chassis legs with a 79mm hole saw :cuckoo::D.

Will see if there has been any gains soon as its mapped to compare graphs.

SD Motorsport is doing mine and my pipe have to be powder coated to match my inlet:) I'm sure we can meet up some time for a race :)

H4RDY-P1 14 February 2010 06:46 PM

Be good that steve, have you swapped the autronic yet ?.im thinking of changing to solaris for the dual maps for track use.

wrighty338 14 February 2010 07:05 PM

looks good, really good

stevebt 14 February 2010 07:23 PM

Hardy, nah I'm still on autronic. I will swap sometime but I have just had a new set of parts bought and the ecu is sort of bottom of my list. I fancy the syvecs so I can have loads of maps and probs a 30% meths mix :D

H4RDY-P1 14 February 2010 07:35 PM

30%!!! really.i used to have 10% mix and see everyone is now going for 20% which i was planning on doing, why cant morrisons get there finger out and give us norther'ers some of that E85 ?.
Thanks for the comments guys, any neg ones will be taken o board too.

M444GY 14 February 2010 08:49 PM

looks very impressive :thumb:

stevebt 14 February 2010 09:05 PM

Apart from the ease of getting e85 from a garage you do realise that if you want the same performance as meths you will have to use double e85. So if you have a 10% mix meths you would need 20% e85 just to get the same results.

H4RDY-P1 14 February 2010 09:19 PM

Ye i realise this but still god results from a pump fuel.sure i read paul from zen comment its bad on winter/cold start and also the massive fuel system + injectors needed to run the E85 neat that is,ill stick to 20% meths lol.
You still on a 35r steve ?,is yours the .63 or .82 ?

JonMc 14 February 2010 11:07 PM
