seizing brakes.

Hi guys,
i work away during the week when i get back into the scoob at the wknds, my brakes are on then i get a bang when they release. Fairly sure its due to the rust on the brakes, How can i reduce this problem if not stop it? Brakes are k-sport 330 mm 8 pot and 6 pot.

Cheers

if i leave mine in the garage for a week or so, my handbrake will seize on. so now i leave the handbrake off while its in the garage.

i get the same problems with the ap's and the brembo's before that, its due to moisture in the air rusting the disks to the pads(doesnt happen in the summer) and my car sits in the garage, you could put it on axle stands(pain in the arse) if in garage and rotate wheels every day or so or try a dehumidifier to take the moisture out the air, if outside get your wife, girlfriend or father to move it every couple of days otherwise im stumped, someone more clued up may have a better and easier solution because i would like to know aswell

Hi
Most pads have some content of metal in them , and its ust the discs and pads sticking together due to rust , the only way you have stop it is to park the car somewhere it won't get damp , or drive it every couple of days
Cheers Ian
