Was there last year and was a cracking day out and recommend it to anyone. Really shows the true straightline performance of a car.
Although last year was horrendously windy (48mph headwind), it was still a quality day.
As you say, would be very interesting to see what the modded RS' would do..

geesta 09 February 2010 03:13 PM

Norris Evo = Murderer

bigsinky 09 February 2010 03:16 PM

^^^^ do we really want to know?

stilover 09 February 2010 04:00 PM

^^^^ Yes.

nisr227 09 February 2010 05:38 PM

....you mean its not an "evo" as such anymore....chopped, shortened, 2 doors, 90' turn of the engine, Skyline mod'd box....ah I see :) Still fooking quick, who cares!

I'd like to see K Cowie, R Clark Sti, Reyland Cossie etc turn up too.

Spec'c'57 09 February 2010 05:51 PM

The invite has been spread over to Focus RSoc so maybe some can make it. Sadly i cant. :(

Reffro 09 February 2010 07:24 PM

Damn, I'd have given my big old bus a run at that, but I'm on holiday.

WOW i wonder how much thats cost to build ? 90k ?
I dont think any RSs will be catching that this year :D

Shins 11 February 2010 07:26 PM

The only real RS's that will be there are the MK1 FRS, 5 of us!;)

paulwrxboro 11 February 2010 07:38 PM

and you still wont be catching it ;)

Terminator X 11 February 2010 08:27 PM

+ 4 from RSOC, 2 being 400bhp!:thumb:

Hot Hatch wise:

3 Focus ST's
3 Golf GTi ED30's
2 Astra VXR's (both 400bhp)
1 Fiat Coupe 20VT

You in a MK1 or 2 FRS?

Terminator X 11 February 2010 09:13 PM

^^ A scoob :norty:

TX.

Shins 11 February 2010 09:27 PM

Not many scoobs going by all accounts, got a 600bhp Noble coming among many too!

What spec is yours then?

Terminator X 12 February 2010 02:05 PM

Just 3 of us by the looks of it:

https://www.scoobynet.com/southern-e...ml#post9219227

Not sure what power mine is running as not been on a RR although should be 400+ I'd guess :wonder:

Spec can be seen on the left, click the link - big changes though include forged engine, 740 injectors, MD321t turbo, aftermarket ECU, prodrive suspension, 8 pot brakes, PPG straight cut gearbox, B Rawle remap etc :)

I'll get my excuses in early though ;) as only running her in still with 1.5bar of boost ... should eventually be capable of 1.8bar :norty:

TX.

john banks 12 February 2010 02:11 PM

If you can run 1.5 bar you can run 1.8 bar, don't be soft.

Terminator X 12 February 2010 02:22 PM

^^ It's 20% more boost!

TX.

Matteeboy 12 February 2010 02:32 PM

So let me get this right - 30-130 in 7.7 seconds last year?!

YIKES!!

Aztec Performance Ltd 12 February 2010 02:49 PM

I'll be there. Be good to see a good mix of cars. :thumb:

Cool mate sounds good, myself, well was running roughly 300bhp last year and didn't do very well, top end is where it all seemed to go wrong, took me as long to get from 120-140 as it did from 30-120!!!!!! 27secs all in but I've got the hybrid on now running 1.5bar, may even turn it up a bit to 1.65 so should see about 350+bhp and pulling stronger top end!:thumb:

I'll make sure I come over and say Hi!:D

Matteeboy 12 February 2010 07:10 PM

Has a 335d ever had a go? Might do okay with it's hefty top end shove, especially mapped. Or maybe not!

Not that I'm aware of, infact not even sure a diesel has done this at all????

Terminator X 12 February 2010 08:14 PM

^^ Hasn't got enough revs ;)

TX.

john banks 12 February 2010 11:50 PM

Only 12% higher absolute pressure though, and the peak cylinder pressure during combustion will hardly move. If it is built to do 1.8 bar, running in further at 1.5 bar sounds like the equivalent to limiting yourself to 3250 RPM rather than 3500 RPM.

There are plenty of Big power scoobs going. I know of a few that will have well over 500bhp, some 600 and atleast one with 700+

Was going of last year and the fact non of the scoobie sites even reply to any of the threads, they must be all closet 30-130mpher's!:lol1:

Compared to the Evo lot who fill there's every year, 40-50+!;)

nisr227 13 February 2010 01:57 PM

I would like to see some different cars than all the 500-600bhp+ evos, scoobs etc.....maybe a highly tuned CTR (TDI's red one) in the fwd class, some highly tuned S4/RS4 bi turbos that have great top end, or even a Ultima GTR720.

Anyway, that Noble sounds interesting. :)

Terminator X 13 February 2010 02:50 PM

Fair enough John, is only til I get to 2000 miles after rebuild. You've reminded me to up the rev limit too ;)
