Is the Ur quattro more expensive to tune than the rest, say to 400 bhp?

Are pulsar gtir's hard to work on?

Day tripper - not sure but Dad's Treser Quattro was just shy of 300bhp with light engine modd so probably not hard to get more.

Pulsars have no brakes and are make of old socks and loo roll. Quick but very flakey.

When did you last see a Pulsar running stock brakes?.....exactly, they are aweful, every owner knows that so 99% of Pulsars for sale have already been uprated to 4 pots. Made of old socks and loo roll?...ha ha they aren't the best built cars compared to modern standards but they are no worse than the early Imprezas and Evos of its time.

Regarding working on them, well you can learn a lot by speaking to the guys on this forum, some jobs can be a pain but again thats the same for many of the 4wd rally slags of its time....GTIR Modifiers Club

Pulsars are one of the most over looked Japanesse cars around, they don't get the interest the deserve becuase they were sold in limited numbers and Nissan pulled its plug as a rallycar before any R+D got started. As I said, its true they can be fragile if tuned too much or not setup well, some can be fine, others can cause problems, but boy are they fun and can be very very quick if tuned right, even fully loaded with a/c, electric mirrors etc they are still one of the lightest 4wd's around so punch way above the power. I'd have another if I had the space for a weekend car.

As I said, buy one thats sound but cheap, and learn how to work on it, at worse it will cost you £2-2.5k minus selling the parts if it all went wrong. They look ugly to some, maybe too boy racer for some but they pop, bang and go like most 4wd rallycars for far less outlay.
