I'm painting my wheels this week and definetly going for black but undecided whether to go for satin black or gloss.

Gloss black can look 'cheap' on the wrong wheels imo. I'd go for satin.

Great looking MR2! I like what you did with the bonnet. Wheels look ace.

Looked in to getting one myself, but didnt fancie having my golf clubs as the front passenger lol.

yh golf clubs would have been a roof off job in that, mind you it makes up for it when you tell people to put their luggage in the frunk..... LOL

satin black £3.95 per can from wilkos :)

beef-on-the-bone 13 February 2010 10:00 AM

i'd say satin........

Luther 13 February 2010 01:17 PM

It really depends on the style of the wheels and number of spokes.... lesser spokes look better in a matt/satin black in my opinion :thumb:

recently refurbed in satin, proving to be a bit of a pain in the arse to keep stain free:(

ideal for what i wanted as they never really look dirty, but even wiping your finger on them leaves a smudge when they're clean.

not the end of the world but my gloss antracite just need a quick wipe to look sparkling. i do like the moody look of the satin though, depends what you're after really:)
