I've just fitted a set of Mintex 1144 pads to my 4-pot calipers. Does anyone know what should be done with the 4 pad-shaped sticky-backed material that comes with the pads? Apart from put them in the toolbox for a rainy day, that is.

These are the Anti Squeal Pads. Your lucky to have gotten them with the pads as they are now a seperate part number. Stick them to the back of the pad to help stop squealing.

I run M1144's 06 GTi and the sticky pads go on the back of the pad. They are "anti squeel" but you don't need them. It just burns up eventually anyway! ;)

These pads will fade on me, so I would have thought they weren't ideal for a Scooby, the M1155 would be better, particularly if you ever want to go on a track!

The Ferrodo DS2500's are a good alternative too.
