Nice, much better value than some of the watches on here of late
|
looks nice SSU.
|
I've looked at that before but wasn't paying £129.99. Now it's £69.99 very tempted!
|
Looks Ok in an Elizabeth Duke/Ratners kinda way..
Good value at £70 notes. |
I have the model before it, great looks and very comfortable...and also a bargain at the time :)
|
Has it a knocklink?
|
Actually, funny you should mention it, I did need a link knocked out!!
And, for someone so clued in to bargains, I slipped up ... took it to a Jewellers for the link to be removed - cost me £10!!! Watching the 14 year old Sunday boy do the job I realised that I could have done it on my kitchen table with a hairbrush and a pair of toe clippers!! AND, to compound my sense of daylight robbery, ARGOS would have done it for NOTHING!!! So, I actually felt like a KockLink!! :lol1: |
Sounds expensive to me , iv got a couple downstairs exactly the same - £2.97 each !
|
I suppose being a cheap watch it's got a battery?
|
£2:97 is very expensive for a KockLink

Quality, I only wear quality :D But do remember to stand in the sun with arm raised and watch pointed towards the sun |
I've had an Eco-Drive for a several years now and it has worked faultlessly. It's really light as the case and strap are titanium. It only needs a few seconds of direct sunlight to fully charge (and ~15 hours under a 100W light bulb, although I've never tried this out) so no danger of it running out of power.
I used to swear by Fossil watches, but the batteries never seemed to last and it costs a fortune to have them replaced and made water-tight again I ended up with a drawer full of dead ones. It'll be interesting to see how long the Eco-Drive keeps going for - Citizen claim 20+ years, but I'll believe that when I see it. |
Looks like the sort of thing jet pilots and racing drivers wear Pete. :D
It's a good looking watch anyway and sounds like you did well out of it. Les ;) |
I look like a Fighter Pilot/Racing Driver - so, I suppose it finishes off my debonair good looks :D
|
Fighter pilots are wimps, they run away if it gets a bit difficult!
Its time you posted your photo again, there will be a few who dont know what you look like! Les :D |
Is this the first post Yoza watch thread, or are you trying to flush him out from behind an assumed identity ?
Hi Yoza if you are "watch"ing ! |
i thought he was doing "time" ?

Quality, I only wear quality :D It does have a "battery", albeit its not of "normal" battery composition and Citizen call it a "special energy storage cell" :D |
So, it could actually be a capacitor ... and not a battery? :D

I doubt that a capacitor could maintain the supply for long enough periods of time - your watch can probably go for weeks without sunlight charge before it stops. |
