thanks for your help everyone.

managed to get a door the exact same colour as the car from scotty2hotty. (y)

well happy, just fitted it, a buffing and detail is next step :D

for future reference- hoping it is not needed. i have it on good authority that door skins are a waste of time if you would be keeping your car. when doors are manufactured the skin is pressed on mechanically making a clean flush seal. when a body shop does this process they have to work the seal bit by bit trapping moisture and condensation inside in some cases leading in some cases to the door rotting/rusting from the inside out. my body shop that i use always recommend to by a new/replacement door as the price of a skin is usually around 60% of the cost of a door anyway and involves more labour so therefore more charges. then if it needs replacing 3 or 4 years down the line then as well as you (the customer) being pi55ed, the body shop also would not like to get a bad rep. anyway eggy790 congrats on your find.

good points mate

ur rught about the door skin, my body guy said they were not worth it and not to even bother so i wrote that idea off.

lucky i found the door, saved me a fortune.
