CLAY SHOOT - Give It A Go.

I thought that it was about time for abit of clay shooting again, but would like to make this a more permanent fixture here. I have organised this a few times and the people that went seemed to enjoy this.

The shoot takes place at the Old Rectory Clay Club, Enfield. The mornings package consists of the following: £35 - 2 boxes of 25 cartridges, clays, use of gun, and tuition with five variations, (5 variations meaning 5 different stands). You do get a tea/coffee in with this before you start.
This is a friendly club and there is always plenty of help on hand, and everything is all above board there. I hold a shotgun licence, as does Phil, but don't let that put you off, its all about the fun and experience and a morning out.
So, the first one will be the 7th March on a Sunday. Its £5 deposit, which will need to be collected before then, so i will need a list of people that want to go. I wont be on Feb ESC meet, so if Phil is going , could you give the deposit to him and i will collect any late deposits on the March meet.

All names below off anyone wanting to go:

1. Scott1e
2.
3.
4.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Scotty.

stu

Phil 31 January 2010 07:42 PM

You don't need a license the ground has a section 11 exemption as you will be under the control of a coach

Milamber 31 January 2010 07:52 PM

Nice on Scott, I've put this in the Calendar.

It might be worthwhile giving Cookstar a PM as he usually likes this.

Captain Carbon 02 February 2010 05:14 PM

I'm down. Won't need shells, use of gun or tuition...just a score card and a bacon roll :thumb:

Phil 02 February 2010 06:33 PM

If your bringing your own gun please remember your SGC ;)

SCOTT1E 02 February 2010 06:42 PM

For all that have their own gun/cartridges, i will find out the lower price for this.

NOTE: As Phil said, please remember your SGC.

Cheers all.

Scotty.

stuart148 02 February 2010 08:47 PM

wot do you need to buy a gun ???:007::norty: lol

stu

Phil 02 February 2010 09:02 PM

You need to apply for your Shot Gun License

Then buy away

I will have my 12g and 20g with me so if there are any younger members or females wanting a go the 20g kicks a lot less

My Daughter is alo coming now ;)

stuart148 02 February 2010 11:12 PM

what will they be using down there ?

Phil 02 February 2010 11:16 PM

12gauge as the norm but I guess they will probably have a 20g but your welcome to use mine I will have cartridges for it

Captain Carbon 03 February 2010 09:41 AM

I think Tiny should use a 4/10.....:Whatever_

stuart148 03 February 2010 03:58 PM

i aint got a clue wot 12g or 20g means lol ,,,guess im going to have to be a boff and look it up lol

stu

V4JDMSTi 03 February 2010 04:01 PM

The g refers to what gauge the shot gun is. smaller the number the bigger the bang. 20g is for girls :p. 12g is standard i think.

V4JDMSTi 03 February 2010 04:04 PM

Other thing is use the gun with the barrels on top of each other rather than side by side. Makes it a bit easier. Well that's what I found.

stuart148 03 February 2010 04:22 PM

ill use wot ever ,,prob be crap any way and miss all of them lol

stu

Phil 03 February 2010 09:49 PM

We will make sure you break a few ;)

Basically as said above 12g and 20g are your standard shotguns although there are bigger and smaller

The 20g is smaller and lighter and used with the right cartridge will give less of a kick so its favoured by Women and kids although many chaps shoot with a 20g indeed I recorded a 43/50 with my 20g

cookstar 03 February 2010 09:55 PM

:( Can't make this one, you said this is the first, when's the next one?

Tiny 03 February 2010 09:59 PM

I shoot most Sundays so drop me a PM when you fancy it and you can pop along to my club with me ;)

Captain Carbon 04 February 2010 08:01 AM
