sunroof on 95 wrx
 

Anyone heard seen or have a 95 wrx import with sunroof is this right or even posible as ive never seen one before ??:wonder:

the only early models i can find with a sun roof is a gc8 is this just a higher spec wrx or am i just compleatly dum ?:wonder:

It was a factory option afaik, rare to say the least ;)

are you able to tell me the diffrence between a gc8 and a standard wrx i just found some pics and the front spliter seem to be the same aswell as the ending caps to the side skirts also the center cosole of the interia is diffrent to a standart wrx my old one had a flip up compartment and this one dose not ???????????????

my 95 wrx had one, with air con too.

my 95 wrx has metal sunroof and aircon

my my98 has an elec roof and aircon

so it could just be a standard wrx .... dose anyone now what the diffrence between a standard and a gc8 is ?

On the vin plate in your engine bay there is an options code, no one has the foggiest about them but if you compare it to some of the others here it may shed some light on the matter ;)

My mrs had a 95 wrx with sunroof and aircon.
The flip up consol you mention....it just seems some cars have them,some dont.Mine did and hers did,but know loads of scoobs that dont.

GC8 is the chassis prefix / model code for any 'Classic' 2,000cc Impreza saloon: normally aspirated or turbocharged. The Sportswagons chassis prefix was GF8.

A sunroof was a factory option but very few cars came with one.

cheers ratty that link was really usefull... so its is a gc8 as i checked the vin and sunroof is just an extra when the car was manufactered:thumb:

Thanks its all seems alot clearer now so basicly a gc8 refures to the year of the car and the model ... so the car is a gc8 95 wrx import with sunroof as a added extra then ... coool thanks 4 all ur help i must admit i do like the sunroof !!:)

Yeah,mrs loved hers...and it didnt leak,as quite a few can do.
Getting my own mini sunroof soon....well.....wrc roof vent.......:D

thats if it makes it to the road anytime soon ratty.:D

do the sunroofs a tendency to leak or rot?

Depends if your born under a lucky star...some do...some dont...bit like the boots although not such a frequent prob as those.
