anyone seen this. there is no british invites, surely that cant be right, we have some of the top cars right here, surely something must be done:(

P20SPD 25 January 2010 08:42 PM

You pay for it, and i am sure one of the big names will go out there. ;)

utaka 26 January 2010 09:41 AM

it seems the brits have been sent invites rcm , zen, N.D's, but apparently it could be from 3-4 weeks for your car to get there meaning missed rounds in this country, if it were me id be out there, but it would obviously cost a lot to get the car and a team to oz, but i think it would be worth it if at the end you can say that you own the best time attack car on the PLANET:eek::norty:

Got my invite! But it's at best 3 months out of action if you want to go from the UK. it's ideal for some cars that only get wheeled out once or twice a year (or hardly ever like the HKS CT-230R)

utaka 26 January 2010 10:36 AM

seems to be the problem, the amount of time the car is out of commission it would be epic though. just a real shame there will be no british representation. they said 3-4 weeks either way so it would defo be 1 round missed here

rossyboy 26 January 2010 10:43 AM

Wonder what it would cost to hire one of these for a week...

I'm sure we'd all chip in :D...probably

M444GY 26 January 2010 11:28 AM

unless you had two cars id say it would be hard as utaka said timing issues etc

utaka 26 January 2010 05:56 PM

exactly what i thought, imagine two gobstoppers:eek:
now that would be awsome:thumb:

fmp 26 January 2010 11:52 PM

Just for the crack of it...

utaka 27 January 2010 02:41 PM

be more worried about the sierra sierra evo:norty:
dont you reckon our guys could keep pace with them?
i recon a few of our cars would be in with a shout

ZEN Performance 27 January 2010 02:44 PM

In Japan we were 3-4 seconds off in the blue car running moderate power, and on tyres that the locals reliable told us would be 2 seconds a lap slower than what they were running.

With some testing and the later car i would say that we could be there or there abouts on the same tyres as them.

That will be some event....cars, sun girls and more girls, how cool:D

fmp 27 January 2010 08:57 PM

dont get me wrong, i would love to see some UK teams out there.

But i just think cars like the Cyber Evo and Cusco/Tomei Tarzan STI have been doing it longer, and better... than anyone in the world!

dynamix 28 January 2010 07:57 AM

The green zen car would certainly give them a good go if it were there. If that car was in Japan for the event a couple of years ago it would have caused a stir for sure.

Long time to be without your car to send it and huge expense for the car and team - can only think of one team in the uk that has the potential budget and a spare car ..

utaka 28 January 2010 12:06 PM

me too,:norty:

GazTheHat 28 January 2010 01:01 PM

It would be cool if the UK did something similar, inviting others to come here.
