identifying a cross drilled crank

what do you look for?

and do all late newage rods have bolt fitment on the end caps instead of studs?

The only cars that have these as standard are jdm twin scroll models or are you after buying one?

Tony:)

The clue is in the description crossdrilled, the crank will have double the amount of oil drillings in it to feed the big ends ie 2 instead of 1.

All STI / WRX newage rods have bolts not studs, but normally aspirated 2.0 / 2.5 still have studs / nuts.

thanks motors gt. i always thought stud and nuts were stronger then bolts, so why are newage rods stronger? isit in the casting or are they forged.
