well it seems it is running

443 BHP | 315+ LBS/FT Rotrex Powered XU10J4RS

so what does he expect, we do not own the fastest cars in the world

thats true but what i like is the fact they think they do! honestly its like the 306 is the holy grail of the car world, my scoob feels so much better tho, more solid and reliable.

apparantly they have us there aswell lol

mje_wrx 18 January 2010 03:29 PM

every other car drivers love to say, id beat a scooby, y not a evo. simply because scooby are the better car and people love to think they can. all that bhp on a fwd, torque steer heaven, wudnt get off the spot, lol

rifleman 18 January 2010 03:38 PM

simply put........what a cock!

robimportwagon 18 January 2010 03:45 PM

ive got a mate with a 306 gti6 which i have driven, although it is pretty quick but not a touch on my scooby. anyway no matter what people say scooby's are the best they have got the looks, power and a great exhaust sound which is purely unbeatable.

dan83590 18 January 2010 03:58 PM

But this guys car is tuned to the hilt. If those figures are even nearly true he'd wipe the floor with a standard or mildly tuned Impreza, or nearly any other marque to be honest.

Tell you all what. I'll go and race tune an Impreza and then go and race a slower Ford Ka, what's the difference? What's the point?

Its dumb as fcuk..

belliott69 18 January 2010 04:01 PM

i had a midly tuned 306 gti-6 and it wouldn't touch my nearly standard scoob. what i thinks funny is that they can beat us round the twisties easily, eeerrrmmm no i couldn't get mine round the corners very easy as it understeered really bad.
gotta love it though, how many engines has he been through with the french build quality.

vash 18 January 2010 04:34 PM

Its an amazing thread.. First page is ..

My 6 will destroy anything Japanese..

Changes too Well some of the ones that arent done properly..

Then .. Subaru Engines are hugely unreliable...

Changes then too.. Well it would have a Sport or a standard Turbo...

Then too .. Well I own both and my WRX is way quicker ....

Then someone fights back.. we will have Scoobs in the Twisties....

Then onto.. Well P1's and Type R destroy the French...

Then well.. STI's are pretty great!!

Hahah

NIPPON!!! :P

N_Scooby 18 January 2010 04:35 PM

I love the fact that they presume all Subaru's to be unreliable. Mine is running 303bhp / 290 ft/lbs and is on 115,000 miles and is 15 years old. Sure the gearbox is getting notchy and I don't expect the engine to go on forever but I'm sure it will see off most of those french tin cans. Sure the one running 400 bhp + will beat many of us, but that is a one off.

As for the 106's, it doesn't matter how much money you throw at it, it will always look like you have borrowed your mums car :lol1::lol1::lol1:

chocolate_o_brian 18 January 2010 04:49 PM

Haven't read the thread but I can imagine whats on it going by responces on here :lol1:

Never driven a 306 GTi-6 but can sadly confirm my 205 GTi is a much better handling car than my 9suspension modded) previous Scoob  I hate saying that, and I hate saying a good driver in the 205 would have had my Scoob in the twisties :(

But yeah, they look and sound the bollocks, thats why I want another one :D:D:D:D:D

FauxSTi 18 January 2010 04:49 PM

Well at the end of the day, my dad's bigger than his dad, so I don't care.

L.J.F 18 January 2010 04:53 PM

PMSL!!! its a Peugeot for fcuk sake:brickwall I used to have a 6 when i was 21 and they aint worth a w@nk :lol1: seems like there is more shiite coming out of their mouths than there is from their exhausts :lol1:

L.J.F 18 January 2010 04:56 PM

You getting another scoob then COB?

When money allows yes mate. Thing is it's "only" a Peugeot but the 205 is soo much fun to drive. Admittedly more has gone wrong with it than the Scoob, but the engine is so solid on 148k, it feels tight and brilliant. They're just 2 totally different cars to drive, and I'm suprised a GTi-6 can keep with even a standard Scoob in fairness :cuckoo:

The 205 does 0-60 in 7.8 seconds I think, so off the line it's no match for a Scoob (which I miss) but once in the twisties, I can really throw it in and control any oversteer. I was always worried about the Scoobs AWD fcuking me up :lol1:

But yeah, ideally a 205 with a Scoob engine :D :norty:

to be fair i have a 205 track car (basically jst stripped out 1.6gti ), took it to raf valley last year and kicked everythings arse.....on the bends lol .....soon as it came to the straights i got farted on, but it was so fookin funny proper day out that! i think the scoobs and what not were takin it easy tho, long way to go without a trailer to take you back lol

WRX Blues 18 January 2010 05:10 PM

Why's he taking the p$ss out of the scoob's 'bean can exhaust' - he's got a spaghetti hoops can sticking out the back of his heap!:lol1:

you can adj the susp geometry on the scoob's i had mine adjusted and braced everything and now my wagon corners like its on rails, not a good idea to keep it welded into a corner though cause the back end lets go  reqs a bit of quick thinking. its all well that a pug is good on the twisties but a short wheelbase car can be quite unstable and unpredictable compared to a longer wheel base with awd. imho a scoob will always tick all the right boxes:thumb:

But the i agree with everyone elses posts with regards to....french build quality is poo, I never really noticed it until i got the scoob it feels like your in a solid car where as the 106 felt.....like it would snap lol and many parts on it regulary did lol
