reverse inlet q's

just wanted some info of whats required/ need to do to reverse the inlet on me p1? any tips/ pics apreciated

joz8968 17 January 2010 04:59 PM

From what I've reaad, it's considered not worth the ballache/hassle for the gains to be had, from most of those that have done it.... :(

joz8968 17 January 2010 05:01 PM

Better to spend cash on going rotated/twisted - with a std position IM! - if wanting big power, for example....

rossdj1983 17 January 2010 05:03 PM

means i can have a much neater engine bay- wanna go to town on it really

joz8968 17 January 2010 05:12 PM

Oh fair enough - and all power to you too! :)

Wait for those that have done it to post up....

rossdj1983 17 January 2010 05:21 PM

that was the intention

joz8968 17 January 2010 05:24 PM

lol

What I meant was I've not done it, so I'm all out.

But if you're gonna be sarcastic, then you can go do one...

rossdj1983 17 January 2010 05:28 PM

ive had the inlet off before to paint it so ive had a taste of what a nightmare dancing with this kinda stuff is.
no disrespect to ya mate but weather or not its a worthwhile mod wasnt my question. how to do it is.
just wanna stay on topic

joz8968 17 January 2010 05:32 PM

Yeah, but there's no need for the aloof/sarcy response was there - you could've simply not bothered posting anything. It's not hard.

ditto,

just trying to get some info on a question ive put up, dont get ya ass in ya hand about it, just dont want my thread clogged up with things of no real relevence like what im typing now- dosent get anyone anywhere. no?

joz8968 17 January 2010 06:51 PM

Well fcuk you - I hardly think my 1st 2 posts are of no relevance - they're were friendly words of 'caution', just in case you didn't know, that's all.

How was I supposed to read your bloody mind that you wanted to do the mod purely for aesthetic reasons (rare)?!!!

I sincerely hope no-one bothers helping you, you ungrateful tw@t!

I feel this - :hjtwofing - is VERY relevent to your oh so 'precious' thread.

Bye.

rossdj1983 17 January 2010 08:42 PM

haha, you need to take up a hobby mate, wasting your time on car forums answering questions you cant answer is fairly lambe.
fcuk me dont think ive ever met anyone so touchy
please see post no.6 , basically means do one cause like alot of threads that get started by others end up with sh1te of no real releavence (this is yet another) and in turn probably makes the site run yet even slower.

to sum up- i asked a legit question end up with advice on something totally different

If the intention was to sit on your butt and wait for people to add their experiences to your thread, why the feck don't you click the Advanced Search button and go find what's on the board already?

Why wait for people to regurgitate stuff when the information you're after is already out there waiting for you to find it?

Btw, word from the wise. Going out of your way to irk people who have posted with an intent to help you is not exactly likely to encourage others to post on your thread. If you come across as a ****, you'll either be ignored or treated like one. Remember, you are the one asking for help and advice here.

joz8968 18 January 2010 12:46 PM

Thank you SP.

There truly are some right tw@ts on here with serious attitude.

It's incredulous to me, as THEY are the ones asking for the help!!! What's the phrase again?... "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

banny sti 18 January 2010 12:53 PM

Lmfao at this thread, brightened my day right up :)

Banny

joz8968 18 January 2010 12:53 PM

Oh and rossdj, yes, I probably have over-reacted...BUT... it's fully justified, as by the tone of your subsequent posts, you evidently are one proud, stubborn and arrogant dick.
