:confused:hi ppl i replaced all the vac pipes today with silicone ones and noticed the pipe from the turbo / actuator t piece went up to the boost solinoid then split again , one going to the boost solinoid and one going to this other thing that i know anything about . any help would be great full . thanks kev

Cant see pics but sounds like one way valve on line to carbon can.
Did you transfer restrictor pill in pipe from comp cover to t piece? Simon |
yea i made sure i put the retrictor pill into the new pipe from the old one and put it back on the compresser side . i know there is a swicth inside the car that controls the the box that the pipe goes to like its a electronic boost control or somthing . tbh im thinking of taking it of and running the pipe straight to the boost solinoid like it should be from the factory

i cant seem to get the pic up here so i have put them in my garage if that helps . soory about this
|
still cannot see pics, says I don't have permission to view them.

after market BCS???

had a look in your garage.
It looks like a boost control solenoid but it is not plumbed in.. I would remove Simon |
i had a play with it today whilst doing the pipes . when its turned off no air will pas thru , turn it on and the air passes thru in to the engine bay . i know i gain boost when its turned on but if its not needed would it be wort taking of ?
|
i know its not plumbed in in the pics as i took it out to take the photos then put it all back in . thanks for ur advice tho jolly
|
okay that makes sense..
you could have it mapped with it on and thereforte have two boost levels? Simon |
thanks for that im going to take it off and run the pipe straight to the boost solinoid like it is as standard . manily as i dont use it any way and it sounds like its more to go wrong and id rather just have it maaped to one boost level

sounds best option
