Center Console - Let's get creative!
When I brought my classic this bit of the console had a hole drilled in it for a switch and it looked horrible, I thought I’ll square it off and put an OEM button there but unfortunately the circle hole was to big and it was too imperfect for my liking, it wasn't really what i wanted to do but i just didn't want a horrible hole and an OEM button was my only idea.
Seeing as that idea failed I'm now thinking of getting fibreglass or some other material and filling the hole and respraying it but i don't really know how to go around doing it. Anyone got any ideas or tips, done this sort of thing before? Thanks http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i143/saalro/7.jpg |
Search ebay for a new dash part, would be the best option.

I brought one but it wasn't the same colour, it was matt black and mines gloss grey. I was thinking of filling the hole then spraying it gloss grey again.

you could cut and file a piece of thin plastic to go over the hole, similar to the blanking covers used by manufacturers, spray it satin or mat black to match the switches, or the same colour as the rest it would be barely noticeable if done right.

It really would be too much time and effort I think, to match the colour. You really are best to get a new one. 20 quid will do the job, put a post in the wanted section, and you usually get people offereing it to you lower.
