V5/6 Dump valve fitting

I'm just in the process of fitting a forge dump valve to my 99 impreza and i just wondered do i put the vac hose for the dump valve on the same fitting as the standard one on the inlet as when i do this it doesnt seem to work

Cheers

You could just give up on the whole idea, refit the standard part and get a refund on the aftermarket one. Unless your old one has suffered spring failure your engine will like you better - and if your old one has gone soft, the best replacement is another standard one (or a conversion to a newage IC and OE DV).

Anyway, what do you mean exactly by "doesn't seem to work"? Do you mean the dumpvalve doesn't appear to be opening, doesn't make the noise you think it should make, or...?

Yes the vac hose off your oe dumpvalve goes to the nipple angled @ 2.0 clock on your forge dumpvalve,as said above if you blip the throttle you should see the piston moving up and down, need a tad more info as to : it doesnt seem to work. I had one fitted to my 99 uk turbo and caused erratic idling, compared to standard one.
