Whats the best handling mods to do next?
Hi just after some info on what to do next. I have a hawkeye which i use daily aswell as for tack days and was wondering what i can do to improve the handling on track. So far i have done the following: -
BC coilovers ARBs front and back with drop links top front strut brace ALK/caster kit Whiteline roll centre kit What next? Thanks for any help. |
rear strut brace? a good set of track tyres? not much else to do is there? i'd be interested to hear some views on this also, as i've got
AST coilovers whiteline ARBs front and back whiteline ALK whiteline front and rear strut braces So very similar situation. Daily use and track days. |
Ive heard that there isn't much point on the rear upper brace, did you notice any difference?

Perhaps the geometry setting up for track use is next, you'll need to discuss just how "aggressive" you go. Mine ended up a bit nervous on wet roads, so I have a road biased set-up now. Semi-slicks like R888's are a fantastic upgrade, IMHO.

i must admit i do really miss my R888's. Nothing else seems to compare. But at £600-£700 a set its hard to justify.
and as for your question about the rear strut brace, it was on the car when i purchased it, so i'm afraid i cannot comment |
Am I right in thinking 888 without a baffled sump is a bad idea?
|
Mine has been fine, it's huge long sweepers that will harm it's innards....
IMHO dunx |

forget the last post, the Hankooks offer at Camskill as finished so they are back up to their normal price, which while still cheaper than anything else doesn't represent the fantastic value of previous the offer price.
