Oil catch tank installation on V4 impreza?
I would appreciate if someone could share there experience & information on how to fit a oil catch tank on the V4 impreza.
Thanks :) |
is it not the same as v3?
on the rocker covers there is a pip coming off the tops. this also joins to the bottom of the inlet at the back. well the block really. all i did was use a t piece to join the left and back and then to the catch tank and then from the right straight to the catch tank as well. mounting is where you can place it :thumb: hope that helps a little |
Cheers. Yes it is the same as the V3. I looked at the guide in the technical archice section but that guide is for the V1/2 which has a different inlet compared to the V3/4. I know its not difficult just need to know where the pipes plumb into. Do you have a overflow pipe going from the tank to the chasis?

no i just have a filter. makes a loverly little smell. and because i have removed a few things from my inlet i actually had a spare bolt hole to bolt it to
|
I see..so you have a breather then. Im assuming you have removed the PCV then?
Isit the pipe that goes to the inlet you have attached a T-piece too? Did you blank the hole off on the inlet pipe? Cheer's |
I know this is an old thread but im looking to do this on my 98 Type R anybody has a guide with pictures how to route the pipes and where to fit the catch can please?
