How do you remove the gear surround on bugeye PLEASE
 

Hi how do you remove the gear surround on a bugeye as im going to change my gaiter

Lift the centre glove box lid, carefully prise up the two screw covers and using a pozi/phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws.

Now pull the whole gear surround up from the rear, it is clipped in along both edges, be firm, but patient;)

Oh, you'll need the gear KNOB off first.

so do you have to take the whole lot of to take the gear surround off then
