THINKING OF FULL BODY WRAP

As said im thinking of getting my black 06 STI done in a full body wrap, i saw an evo 9 last year at the nurburgring done in white over the original black and it looked awsome, it fooled me untill he told me and opened the doors and bonnet . i think it costs about a £ 1,000 or so, any one had it done and more so GOOD idea or BAD, Cheers steve.

I'm not a fan of vinyl wrap so if it were me I would spend the cash on something else, just IMHO

Jolly Green Monster 06 January 2010 08:58 PM

Considering a partial wrap.
Split between 3 ideas.

I'd be looking for some assurances that it can be completely removed at any point in the future without trace, or damage to lacquer/paintwork.

Imagine pulling all the lacquer off when you remove it in a couple of year's time :(

If heated and the paint was already good, should come off like any other graphics

Jolly Green Monster 06 January 2010 09:51 PM

I agree it looks the dogs but wonder if it is a little last year?

:)

g7prs 06 January 2010 09:51 PM

The mechanic that works on my car has had his blue subaru hatch sti wrapped in mat black.

Stealth 06 January 2010 09:53 PM

I got quoted £1700+Vat for a full wrap on my bugeye by Carbonwraps or someone like that and its a three day job.

£2k for a temp fitting is a little steep to me no matter how good the job

Sh1t  - you can buy a fairly clean, useable Impreza for that sort of cash!

not seen one like that before it does look smart! Didn't realise you could get wraps like that, I dont like the matt finishes I have seen, I saw a lambo murcielgo in a matt black finish and thought it was ruined

Jamz_ 07 January 2010 12:25 PM

Not fond of the standard camo, but would love to see a digital camo version, kinda like this:

but in winter camo colours
