I own a legacy turbo and just recently the clutch has started slipping, as I am going to be upping the power(hopefully near to the 280-300bhp mark) I was wondering if a standard clutch would be up to the job, if not which one should I be looking at getting bearing in mind I do a lot of driving about town and do not want the clutch pedal to be any harder to push down.
And finally what sort of price am I looking at to get a decent clutch fitted.
Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Sandy

A good original subaru clutch should take 300bhp OK. I used an uprated sti clutch from Graham Goode Racing on mine. Bloody expensive though. They claim this is much better than the AP clutch. I might be tempted by a helix, they seem to be reccommended for other cars. Somehow any legaccy's I have been in tend to go better than the imprezza's. Simple mods like full exhaust ( similar, but not the same as an imprezza, front pipe is identical though ), and blitz ( or similar ) boost controller will yield massive performance gains. Mine ( UK spec 92 ) has been reliable running a tad under 1 bar.
