Decent Jump Pack
Am hardly using the Impreza now, so when i do try to start it the battery is always flat.
Am looking at getting a jump pack, but the last one i bought didn't work very well. Any suggestions? |
Just bought one from halfords, 79 quid, 200 amp hour, jump leads, compressor, 240v plug etc, said it won the which (or was it what car?) award.

Is there any reason you cant leave it disconnected from the battery?
My '93 has done about 100 miles in 2 1/2 years, but because I've left it disconnected, it starts first time, every time when I reconnect it and I've never charged it or left it on a trickle charger! |

If its not garaged just buy a solar trickle charger, if its garaged buy a normal trickle charger ;) Power packs won't start nearly dead batteries

If you keep jumping a flat battery you'll surely knacker it. Either trickle charge it or disconnect the battery. If you disconnect the battery you won't have to pay out any money for anything ;)

disconnect,
trickle charge, or get one from costco:thumb: |
Bought one of these a while back, never let me down except when I forget to charge it lol !

SBS J-16 Aircraft Battery Tucked under the passenger front seat as the bugeye Mitsi battery (APS FMIC) not the best in the cold to jump the car :) :) Can't beat a sensing trickle charger hooked up to the car. CTeK jobbie :) Find the right battery charger - MULTI XS 25000 Shaun |
I've got one of these for the ride-on mower in France: Battery Charger 12A - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys
Electronic control so it basically switches off when the battery is charged, rather than trickles it, which can boil the electrolyte. Ignore the bit about suitable for 1300cc petrol engines. The manufacturer says it's fine with my Scoob too, I rang and asked. |
